The first three Sims games all had some kind of relationship chemistry mechanic. Whether it was lightning bolts or horoscope compatibility, you could tell how well two Sims were likely to get along.
I swear to you, The Sims 4 must have this mechanic, even though it’s not visible to the player.
The chemistry between Audrey and Peppino is undeniable. Trying to get Audrey and Riku Kudo together felt like trying to push together the wrong sides of two magnets. Trying to get Audrey to hook up with Peppino, however, felt like you flipped one of the magnets around and – snap!
But I’m getting ahead of myself.
I bought the Bust the Dust kit while I was sick with food poisoning last week. I got my first dust bunny! It’s, uh, mildly terrifying.
Its button eyes remind me of the Imaginary Friend from Sims 3, which always gave me the willies.
You can interact with a dust bunny and choose to either clean it up or feed it. Obviously I had Audrey feed it some dust!
Tragically, later that day I had Audrey vacuum the house, and she vacuumed up the dust bunny. RIP.
After that, I had her ask Peppino Lemus out to the local pub.
I just… augh!!! I just can’t with his outfit.
I don’t know anything about men’s shoes, so I looked it up. These are a monk strap dress shoe, and they are NOT meant to be worn sockless. Especially not paired with cuffed capri pants.
ANYWAY.
Audrey was fully smitten. Soon all her wishes were Peppino-related. “Chat with Peppino.” “Flirt with Peppino.” “Cheer up Peppino.” It was a little nauseating, to be honest.
I had her invite him home to spend the night, and he gladly accepted.
He came over and puttered around for a while. Staring at the bee hive, that sort of thing.
I spotted another detail of his outfit that sent me over the edge.
How can he be wearing all these things and NONE OF THEM MATCH. Not even close.
Okay anyway, more importantly, they smooched!
It was their first kiss, and it went well. Soon, Audrey had the option to ask Peppino to WooHoo. Here’s what that looked like:
And from her perspective:
These two are as awkward and inexplicable as they are perfect for each other!
Fireworks!
And later they tried some shower WooHoo.
This went so well that Audrey got a hilarious buff, “All Steamed Up,” from – and I quote – “Spectacular shower WooHooing.”
After all that action, they sat outside together and chatted, and it was just the sweetest thing to watch.
