I have learned from experience to keep a close eye on Sims 4 nannies, and Xenk’s nanny is no exception.
Here, the nanny stands behind Responsible Regé-Jean Page, watching as he gives baby Xenk a bath. This is both annoying (I hired the nanny so he would do things like give the baby a bath) and a little creepy (stop watching!).
I don’t have any way to tell the nanny to hold Xenk while he sleeps. And the nanny doesn’t seem to have picked up on this little baby quirk. So, I always have to use a family member to give Xenk a nap.
At least they can browse their phone while they’re holding the baby.
I’m getting frustrated trying to teach Xenk to hold up his head. I have given up on the idea I’ll ever manage to teach him to sit up.
Here’s how it goes:
- Xenk is tired. Someone holds Xenk for a few hours while he sleeps.
- Xenk wakes up angry. It takes a while to cajole him into a better mood.
- All the adults are too tired to teach Xenk anything, so he hangs out on his play mat until they feel better.
- By this point, Xenk has crapped his diaper, and no one wants to change it.
- The stink intensifies, Xenk gets angrier, and all the adults get less and less interested in helping.
- Eventually, I get someone to change Xenk’s diaper.
- Repeat.
What, you might ask, is the nanny doing during all this? Cooking random food, like chocolate mousse, which he leaves out on the counter.
That’s nice, I guess? But he recently fixed a plate of steak tartare and left it on the counter.
I’m not sure whose judgment is worse: the Sim who left a plate of steak tartare out on the counter or the Sim who ate a plate of random steak tartare that was sitting out on the counter. I didn’t get to see who ate it, and at this point, I don’t want to know.
But check out this neat wireless speaker I bought them!
