The next day I sent Pearl next door. But she couldn’t ring the doorbell. Why? Because the Shoemakers had moved out!
I had her phone Jaimie from the sidewalk in front of her old house.
“Was it something I said?”
The obvious question was, where did they move? I zoomed out to the map view and found their house, way on the other side of town.
Here is a transcript of what I thought when I saw their house:
“Wow, that is one ugly random-looking building. And what’s with the OH MY GOD THAT’S THE ORIGINAL SPLINE HOUSE!”
The Shoemakers obviously haven’t changed a thing. That’s Ana’s painting certificate on the right, and some of Tyler’s mounted fish on the left. Every single thing in the house is exactly the way I left it.
Feeling a bit wobbly from all this, I found Jaimie watching TV in the exercise room. When Pearl tried to put the moves on her, this is the reaction she got:
I tried again with “Flirtatious Joke” a few minutes later.
