My Sims 4 Adventure: Regé-Jean Page Family Dynamics

My original plan was to pick a Regé-Jean Page, make him the daddy, then dispense with the other two. But the Regé-Jean Page who’s the daddy is a jerk, and I like the other two, and who wouldn’t want the free childcare services that two extra in-home Regé-Jean Pages could provide?

If that’s the case, it’s time to make them easier to differentiate. A recent Sims 4 update made applying an outfit to every outfit type (hot weather, cold weather, etc) simple. I wanted to make my job even easier, so I decided to choose a Styled Look for each Regé-Jean Page.

I hadn’t browsed the Styled Looks in quite a while. I was stunned to discover I had accumulated 119 of them! I didn’t realize that the expansion packs and stuff packs came with Styled Looks.

From left to right, the Regé-Jean Pages are:

  • Cottagecore (Cottage Living): Dr. Regé-Jean Page.
  • Suave Knits (Nifty Knitting): My favorite of the three Regé-Jean Pages, I call him The Responsible One.
  • Co-Star (Get Famous): Daddy Regé-Jean Page.

Molly III went into labor shortly after I outfitted all the Regé-Jean Pages. Her first action was to make a cup of coffee.

I don’t think you’re supposed to do this? But I wouldn’t know – I’m a 52-year-old childless cat lady.

She sat down at the kitchen table to drink her coffee, then made this face.

At this point, I was like, “Okay, lady, forget the coffee. It’s time to get you to the hospital.”

At the hospital, she had her baby extracted with the baby extraction device. I assume that’s how it works in real life, too. (Like I said, I wouldn’t know.)

Welcome to the world, little baby… oh shit, I forgot to pick a name.

I paused the game and started researching baby names on my phone. I looked up the most popular (Liam), least popular (Arlyn), and most Tragedeigh (Banjo Henry). None of them called to me.

I confess this is where things took a turn.

“Wouldn’t it be lovely and/or hilarious to name him after Regé-Jean Page’s actual father?” So traditional, right?

The only information about Regé-Jean Page’s parents on Wikipedia is that his mother is a nurse from Zimbabwe, and his father is a preacher from England.

“That’s weird,” I thought. “It must not be up to date or something. I’ll look elsewhere.”

Cut to me, 45 minutes later. I couldn’t find a single whisper of his parents’ names, not one. As I was eyeing one of those gross “Give us $25 and we’ll disclose someone’s personal information” websites, I suddenly came to my senses. I had Gone Too Far. It happens.

I pulled back from the research spiral, returned to his Wikipedia entry, and named the baby after my favorite Regé-Jean Page character: Xenk, the insufferable paladin in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. (I’m not much of a Bridgerton person. More of a D&D fan. Have you seen the movie? It’s really fun! Currently streaming on Amazon Prime.)

Welcome, Xenk Spline!

Phew, okay, glad that’s over with. Not sure what happened, there. Thanks, brain. You never cease to amaze.

Back on track, here’s the pre-built nursery in the spooky mansion. Very spooky indeed.

I’m usually a big fan of spooky, but this time, I wasn’t loving it. I redid the nursery mainly using items from the Pastel Pop kit.

That’s better! And look how all the Regé-Jean Pages have come in to greet the baby!

As you might expect, The Responsible One was the first to pick up and care for the baby. Good work!
