I got the Lovestruck expansion pack, and it does not disappoint! (Except it crashes a lot. That’s disappointing. Back up your save files, and remember to save often while playing.)
Lovestruck includes the ability to send your Sim on a blind date. Think about every randomly-generated townie Sim you have ever seen. That is your dating pool. If that thought doesn’t make you want to cackle maniacally, then this might not be the expansion pack for you.
I immediately sent Henry on a blind date. I picked the karaoke bar in San Myshuno. When I saw his blind date, I laughed so loudly and suddenly that it spooked the cat and caused Marshall to get up from the couch in the other room and check on me.
Henry’s blind date is Alanna Tinker. Alanna arrived wearing a hot dog costume, feeling “Very Sad,” and crying loudly because her sister just died.
The saddest hot dog!
Under the “Small Talk” menu, I found the option to have Henry ask about her costume.
Can’t argue with that!
They got along well.
Halfway through their first date, Alanna asked to move in with Henry.
Obviously, I said yes.
Alanna immediately changed into normal clothes and started singing karaoke with Henry.
Oh no, ma’am, I don’t think so. You showed up for this blind date in a hot dog costume, and that’s what you’re going to wear.
Here are Alanna’s new Everyday, Formal, Exercise, Sleepwear, Party, Swimwear, Hot Weather, and Cold Weather outfits, respectively.
Alanna’s sister, Tory, moved in as well. Tory doesn’t seem to have Alanna’s joie de vivre.
Alanna and Tory are Tina Tinker’s stepdaughters. Tina’s third stepdaughter, Olive, is the one who recently died.
I tried three times to move Tory out of the household. Each time, my game crashed. So I guess we’re stuck with her.
