What better time for a blind date than 9:15 on a Sunday morning? Henry’s date, Nancy Bergejsen, arrived for their date in a tense mood and whatever kind of outfit you want to call this.
For the blind date goals, I chose food, photography, and board games.
I have pledged to be kinder to my Sims, but I still took terrible delight in sending my Sim on a blind date to play board games in the park at 9:15 on a Sunday morning.
First order of business: food. I set Henry up at a nearby grill, where he grilled an entire party platter of baked potatoes.
If I was sentenced to a blind date at 9:15 on a Sunday morning and my date presented me with half a dozen baked potatoes? Done deal. I would eat the hell out of these low-poly baked potatoes.
Nancy wasn’t as impressed by Henry’s baked potatoes as I was. The mood was “Tense” for a while.
He tried several conversational tactics. Nothing he did could lighten the mood of this Sunday morning disaster date. I can smell the flop sweat from here.
Then, I had them take a selfie together. Suddenly, she was all smiles. I don’t know if the baked potatoes finally kicked in, or if she just really likes selfies, but it was smooth sailing from that point on.
They played a few rounds of a Jenga-like game called “Don’t Wake the Llama.”
In typical Sims fashion, a stranger wandered by, helped himself to one of Henry’s baked potatoes, and invited himself to the game.
Just as Henry got up to take a photo of Nancy, the date ended. She walked away without saying another word.
Okay, well, bye, then. (???)
I don’t think we will be inviting her for a second date.
