More Sims 4 birthday drama

As entertaining as it was to revisit the olden days (early 2000s), it’s nice to be back in modern times, except when stuff like this happens.

Yikes!

Returning to the Spline-itrail reminded me how ludicrous this house is. I had a lot of fun making it, but it’s hard to use on a day-to-day basis. As cool and “aesthetic” as it is, I’m going to have to bulldoze the lot and make a regular house, because this one is a huge hassle to use.

Moving on, I launched Xenk’s party with a feeling of great relief. I’m ready for him to be a toddler.

Of course, no birthday ever goes smoothly in this game.

To have a birthday, you bake a white cake, put the cake in the center of a table or counter, then add candles.

Cake #1: baked it, put it on the table, then ate a slice.

Cake #2: baked it, put it on the table, added candles, then the maid whisked the cake away and put it in the fridge.

Everyone was like, “What happened to the cake?”

Cake #3 met the same fate.

I dismissed the maid and baked a fourth cake, which worked.

Time for the little man to grow up into a filthy toddler with an adorable smile.

It took so long to sort out the cake situation that Xenk was exhausted by this point. As soon as he grew up, he fell asleep on the kitchen floor.

I tried so hard to get the Top-Notch Infant achievement. Now was the moment of truth!

I checked his traits, and no, he did not get Top-Notch Infant. It’s so much worse! He got Unhappy Infant.

I tried, okay? He was just a really difficult infant! It wasn’t my fault, I did my best! Said every abusive parent ever. (Yikes, right?)

Anyway, here’s hoping his toddler years go a little better.
